What YOU can do to help save The Henry County Times...
Quite simply, the only way to sustain publication of The Times is through long-term, consistent, committed advertising dollars from the community.
As such, I am encouraging businesses, organizations, and companies to contact The Times TODAY and offer to commit to a monthly advertising plan. If this happens, we can get this community newspaper back to publishing immediately.
And beyond the dollars and cents, also think about how your advertising presence in The Times will now give you instant positive PR. You will be seen as supporting a community institution, a truly local, locally-owned newspaper that you helped resurrect. People love this newspaper -- and they will show their appreciation by supporting you in return.
Other than that, you are welcome to make a donation of any amount. Please contact me if you are interested in making a cash donation. As someone that volunteers and serves non-profit organizations, I realize that you may feel that your money is better spent elsewhere. However, I can tell you unequivocally that fundraising and awareness for all our local non-profit organizations will suffer without the free publicity that The Times provides by covering and promoting these important causes every week.
I am also open to other suggestions and ideas! At the end of the day, I just want to see everyone at The Times back at work and doing what they do best: showcasing the best of Henry County.
